Here is my official guide to antique stores in (and around) Columbia, South Carolina
Antique shopping is such a fun way to develop your personal style and shop sustainably – and the midlands region of South Carolina has some of the best antiquing that I have come across. Here is a list of my favorite antique stores in and around the Columbia area!
The Best Curated Antique Stores
The Little Green Door
1533 Richland St, Columbia, SC 29201
This well-curated studio of antiques and vintage goods is the place to go if you are looking to satisfy your inner grand millennial. Kayla Sweigart owns this space and though the prices are higher than what you’d find at a typical antique store, you’re paying for the fabulous hand-picked collection of one-of-a-kind items.
Red Lion Antiques
1929 Hampton St, Columbia, SC 29201
Red Lion Antiques is likely my most-visited antique store in the Columbia area. With its central location and over 10,000 square feet of unique items and home decor, it is sure to be one of your favorites too.
McIntosh Cottage Antiques
720 Beltline Blvd, Columbia, SC 29205
This is the place to go if you are looking for high-quality antique furniture items, thoughtful gift ideas, or Staffordshire dogs within Columbia’s city limits!
Best for Finding Hidden Gems
Old Mill Antique Mall
310 State St A, West Columbia, SC 29169
Old Mill Antique Mall is one of the best stores to explore in West Columbia because you never know what treasures you may find! With 75 vendors, there is something for every antique shopper and collector. Make sure to check out the The Warehouse next door for more vintage finds and collectibles.
Three Rivers Antiques
615 Meeting St, West Columbia, SC 29169
This antique mall is located in a little house on West Columbia’s Meeting street and is home to over 30 vendors.
763 Meeting Street Antiques
763 Meeting St, West Columbia, SC 29169
Another Meeting Street gem, 763 Meeting Street Antiques, has 11,000 square feet to explore.
Spring Valley Antique Mall
8808 Two Notch Rd, Columbia, SC 29223
If you’re venturing into Northeast Columbia via Two Notch Road, take a pit stop at Spring Valley Antique Mall. This store is more than meets the eye – but be prepared to negotiate prices!
Best Antiquing in Northeast Columbia
Ivy House Antique Mall
10511 Two Notch Rd Unit A, Elgin, SC 29045
These three antique stores are located in the same strip mall in Elgin, which is just a short ride from Columbia. Ivy House Antique Mall is a great place to find fun and feminine vintage items as well as refinished antique furniture pieces.
Re-Find
10509 Two Notch Rd, Elgin, SC 29045
If mid-century modern is more your speed, check out Re-Find! Located right next door to Ivy House Antique Mall, this spot has all kinds of groovy goods as well as antiques (like glassware and more).
B&L Antiques
10509 Two Notch Rd, Elgin, SC 29045
This is the newest of these three antique stores, but it is definitely still worth stopping in! You can spend an entire afternoon in Elgin between these three stores.
Favorite Overall
Little Mountain Unlimited
1528 Main Street, Little Mountian, SC 29075
Little Mountain Unlimited is my overall favorite antique store to visit. Located about 40 minutes outside of town, this store is worth the drive! I dream about this tower of depression glass on the regular. With over 25,000 square feet AND a cafe in the basement, you will never want to leave!
